On January 21 local time, China Power Construction Group and Angola’s Ministry of Energy and Water Resources officially
signed a cooperation agreement for the Sasa Lumba power supply project in Bengoa Province. Pedro Estevan Buka, President
of Angola National Transmission Company, and Jerson Vindo Pinto, Vice President, along with relevant officials from China
Power Construction’s South Africa Regional Headquarters and Angola Representative Office, jointly attended the signing ceremony.
This project will provide comprehensive power infrastructure for the Sasa-Lamba Future Development Zone, serving as a key
national infrastructure and livelihood initiative prioritized by the Angolan government. The main construction includes two
new substations, 60 kV overhead lines, and underground cable lines. Upon completion, the power distribution system will
significantly enhance regional power supply reliability, effectively upgrade local energy infrastructure, and provide stable
support for the sustainable development of the region’s economy and society.
This signing further consolidates the cooperation achievements of China Power Construction in Angola’s energy construction sector,
demonstrating the company’s resource integration and project execution capabilities in the local market. China Power Construction
stated that it will continue to uphold the commitment of efficient contract performance and high-quality construction to ensure
the smooth implementation of the project and contribute to the modernization of Angola’s infrastructure. The advancement of
this project will inject new momentum into the improvement of local energy infrastructure and regional development.
