On the day tariffs against the U.S. took effect, China signed new orders

On February 10, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) led more than 30 well-known

domestic enterprises to Kazakhstan, organizing the signing of a letter of intent on cooperation between the two sides.

These more than 30 enterprises cover mineral energy, petrochemical, machinery manufacturing and other industries.

Next, CCPIT will also lead Chinese enterprises to the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe, Africa and other regions to

develop diversified markets, negotiate oil and gas trade, automotive, agricultural machinery and other aspects of

cooperation. Just before the delegation’s departure, in the early hours of February 10, China’s tariffs on U.S. crude oil,

liquefied natural gas, agricultural machinery, large-displacement automobiles, and other commodities came into effect.

CCPIT organizes entrepreneurial delegation to visit Kazakhstan

 

This reporter learned from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) that a delegation of Chinese

entrepreneurs organized by China, CCPIT set off on February 10 to visit Kazakhstan and carry out economic and trade

exchange activities. This is also China’s first entrepreneurial delegation after the Spring Festival visit.

 

The visiting entrepreneur delegation was organized by CCPIT and consisted of representatives from 32 enterprises, covering

industries such as mineral energy, petrochemicals, finance and trade, water conservancy and hydropower, construction and

engineering, aviation and logistics, and machinery manufacturing. After arriving in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, the

delegation will carry out a four-day economic and trade exchange activities to promote the strengthening of communication

and cooperation between the business communities of China and Kazakhstan.

 

Yang Xiaojun, Minister of Promotion Department of CCPIT, said: “In recent years, China-Kazakhstan relations have continued

to realize leapfrog development, which provides a broad opportunity for the business communities of the two countries to

carry out practical cooperation in a wider range, at a deeper level, in a broader field, and with a higher quality. The CCPIT

has organized a four-day economic and trade exchange activity with a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Kazakhstan,

aiming to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, respond to the eager

expectation of Chinese and Kazakh enterprises to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, and strive to reach more

trade intentions and project cooperation.”

 

According to the data, bilateral trade between China and Kazakhstan exceeded 43.8 billion U.S. dollars in 2024, a year-on-year

increase of 6.8 percent. During this visit, the delegation will hold a variety of forms of activities, such as exchange and docking

sessions between Chinese and Kazakh enterprises, organize Chinese and Kazakh enterprises to deeply explore the potential

of oil and gas trade, clean energy, e-commerce and other key areas of cooperation between the two sides, promote the third

China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo, promote international cooperation in the industrial chain supply chain,

and make the mutually beneficial and win-win “cake “The cake of mutual benefit and win-win situation will be made bigger

and better to better benefit the people of the two countries.
