my country’s high-speed power line carrier technology has made a breakthrough

The China Energy Research Association recently announced the first selection list of high-value patent (technology) achievements

in the energy industry. A total of 10 core high-value patents, 40 important high-value patents, and 89 high-value patents were selected.

Among them, “high-speed power line carrier communication “Typical Case of Achievement Transformation” was selected as a core

high-value patent, marking an important breakthrough in my country’s high-speed power line carrier technology (HPLC).

 

It is understood that power line carrier communication is a communication technology that uses wires to send and receive signals,

and is mostly used for power meter reading in the world. Although the power line carrier communication technology has the

advantages of no wiring and low cost, there are high-intensity noise, interference, multipath and fading in the power line channel,

and the communication performance has always been restricted by the modulation method and channel, so it is difficult to support

high-speed and stable transmission. deepening application business.

 

Zhu Anguo, Director of the Acquisition Office of the Metrology Institute of China Electric Power Research Institute, introduced that

the institute aimed at the pain points of traditional power line carriers, and broke through key technologies such as time-frequency

diversity copying, timing optimization, and multi-network coordination to form a high-speed power line carrier technology system.

The project team proposed a high-speed power line carrier communication method based on orthogonal frequency division

multiplexing to solve the problems of high-intensity noise, interference, multipath and fading in the power line channel; designed

a high-speed power line carrier test system and test system to provide high-speed carrier products testing method. The project

achieved high-speed and stable communication for 370 million power users’ meters, and realized the conversion of 390 million

yuan based on relevant core technology patents.
