The 230 kV substation project of POWERCHINA in Bazhenfu, Thailand was successfully handed over

On October 3 local time, the 230 kV substation project in Bazhen Prefecture, Thailand contracted by Powerchina successfully

completed the physical handover. This project is the fourth substation project of POWERCHINA to be handed over to the

Thai market in, following the 500kV substation in Ubon, 115kV substation in Pachu and 500kV substation in Banburi, which

fully demonstrates POWERCHINA’s strong performance capability in the Thai power market.

The 230 kV substation in Bazhen Prefecture is the first AIS station built by EGAT in Bazhen Prefecture and one of the important

hubs of the backbone network in central Thailand. The completion and operation of the project will effectively alleviate the power

supply tension in the central and eastern power grids, and provide a solid guarantee for the stable operation of the backbone

network and regional industrial development.

The project team actively implements the localization development requirements of the Group’s international business in the

process of performance, carries out refined management based on local resources, and deepens localization practice. During

the implementation of the project, the headquarters of the company only sent 2 Chinese management personnel, and employed

more than 160 Thai and third country management personnel and labor services through localized recruitment. Effective

exploration and practice have been carried out in the organizational model of subordinate localization and talent training, laying

a foundation for the further development of the localization of POWERCHINA in the Thai market.
