Guy Strain Insulator 54 Series
Ceramic guy stain insulator is an insulator generally with elongated shape, and the porcelain stay insulator has two transverse holes or slots.
Porcelain stay insulator is mainly used on the quy wire structure to balance the tension strength and also provide the insulating.
The color is brown, gray or whiteFor low voltage lines, the ceramic guy strain insulator is to be insulated from ground at a height. The ceramic guy strain insulator used in the stay wire is called as the stay insulator and is usually of porcelain and is so designed that in case of breakage of the insulator the guy-wire will not fall to the ground.
Functions of porcelain guy strain insulator
1. Mounted at a height of at least 3 meters from ground level and provide insulation between stay clamps and transmission poles.
2. Primarily used to prevent stay wires from becoming energized from accidentally broken live wires
3.
